Baseball's unwritten rules continue to be a subject of debate in 2021. Chicago White Sox DH Yermin Mercedes crossed the rules when he decided to swing on a 3-0 count mid-blowout against the Minnesota Twins. This alone would not have caused as much controversy, had it not been for White Sox's manager Tony La Russa. La Russa, said he was upset with Mercedes and even said, regarding the Twins throwing at the DH, "I don't have a problem with how the Twins handled that." Should White Sox players now have a problem with La Russa? Is this particular rules one that has any merit in a professional sport? Enjoy my thoughts on the matter. #WhiteSox #ChicagoWhiteSox #MLB #MLBNews #Baseball
