How the Heat and Bulls Free Agency Impacts the Eastern Conference

The Eastern Conference got a lot more competitive because of what two teams did particularly. Coming off of their surprising bubble run to the NBA Finals in 2020, the Miami Heat were quickly dispatched of by the Bucks on their way to title. Pat Riley set his sights on the most sought after veteran on the market Kyle Lowry. Lowry will one day be enshrined in all-time Toronto sports legends but what talent will the veteran bring to South Beach?

Not to be outdone, the Chicago Bulls made a flurry of moves to begin free agency. As part of convincing Zach Levine that Chicago is in his best interest long-term, the Bulls acquired Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball. Ball, Levine and Demar Derozan form a formidable team with Nikola Vucevic rounding out the four spot in their line-up. Does this make the Bulls legitimate threats in the East?
